Details of Position
We believe the academic programme is fundamental to a successful summer programme. To make sure our students get the most out of their experience with us we need the best and brightest teachers to deliver fun and engaging English lessons. To help you achieve this, we provide every teacher with course books for students and comprehensive teachers books for you to follow, giving you the foundations to teach to the best of your ability!
Below are some of the responsibilities you will take on as an EFL Teacher:
Prepare and adapt existing materials to suit your students needs and abilities
Deliver 32 hours worth of lessons each week, with the aim of achieving the objectives of the syllabus and to the standards set out in your Teacher Handbook and/or the Oxford International Junior Programmes syllabus
Manage student behaviour effectively to allow each learner to experience an academically fulfilling environment
Encourage student participation through a positive and enthusiastic approach to your work
Attend staff meetings, as and when necessary
Keep all administration up-to-date. This will include class registers, work records and student reports. These are to be completed in a professional and timely manner, as delegated by the Director of Studies
There will be a requirement for you to be observed by a TEFL Q qualified observer. In some circumstances you may also be observed by a group leader

To be considered for the role you will need:
A TrinityTESOL or CELTA certificate (other TEFL qualifications may be accepted if they have been validated by an external body and include a minimum 6 hours of observed teaching practice)
A degree from any discipline
Be 18 years old and over
Right to work in the UK
Be a proficient user of English
To be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check
Although not essential to the role, it would be great if you have:
CELTAYL or YL extension
Experience working in a junior residential setting
