Job Summary

Details of Position

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable teachers to join us at English Study Camps in Wimbledon to teach 14-17yr old international students. You should have an interest in working with teenagers, and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of the summer centre, including excursions. As you will be working with minors, you will be required to provide outstanding pastoral care. Successful candidates will teach international groups for 3 lessons in the morning, and then accompany their students on fun activities or excursions into London 3 afternoons per week, plus a full weekend excursion.
ESC Wimbledon camp runs from 23rd June 2025 to 17th August 2025, but you are not required to stay for all 8 weeks.
Please note, the school cannot provide accommodation for staff.


English Study Camps (ESC) is the young learners wing of Wimbledon School of English, the joint number one English language school in the UK (according to industry magazine, the EL Gazette, and British Council inspection results). ESC delivers high-quality summer language courses to students aged 8-17 years old from around the world. In 2025, ESC are running 2 summer camps - one at Lord Wandsworth College, and one in Wimbledon. This posting refers only to the Wimbledon centre, but please get in contact if you are interested in a residential position in Lord Wandsworth College.

The Role
Candidates should be highly motivated, professional, innovative, and CELTA or CertTESOL qualified. Ideally you would have experience in teaching all levels from pre-intermediate to advanced, an interest in working with children and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of the summer centre, including excursions. We are a strong advocate of continuous professional development and employment will include observations and professional development sessions. As you will be working with minors, you will be required to provide outstanding pastoral care and work in accordance with the ESC policy on Safeguarding Young People & Child Protection.
