It is important to note that due to the nature of the summer school environment, you should be prepared for hard work and ready to provide a high level of academic support and problem-solving with little notice.

Training will be provided ahead of the commencement of the summer programmes, with continual support from the Academic Manager and Head of Faculty throughout the contract. You will work closely with College Managers, who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the programmes at each individual college we work with.

This is a diverse role that will see the successful candidate provide support and ideas across the academic portfolio, with a lot of scope for bringing creative ideas to the team.

You must be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic
IT skills - We are a very forward-looking education company and expect all of our team to be able to use technology such as Google Docs, Adobe, Asana, Slack and Salesforce with onboarding training
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative and educational support to tutors across sites throughout the city
Observe tutors according to both a set timetable and ad-hoc depending on feedback and provide these tutors with feedback
Be the first point of academic oversight and contact for tutors in your delivery city
Communicate challenges and feedback with the Academic Manager and assist in resolving those issues
Communicate safeguarding information with the college manager
Ensure that tutors are completing administrative tasks
Approve field trips and guest speakers for tutors, communicating these with relevant stakeholders
Support student challenges within the classroom (performance, discipline, etc.)
Provide actionable next steps for tutors to ensure academic expectations are met
Support movement of academic materials between sites
Attend safeguarding training and provide guidance and support for tutors and students in this regard
Provide support and assistance on-site as required
