Samiad was established in 2013 as a specialist summer school for international students between the ages 7 and 18. We pride ourselves on offering unique excursions, a student to staff ratio of 1:8 and a family feel. We now welcome over 1500 students each summer to our 3 boarding school locations. We are looking for a number of qualified English language teachers to join our summer team, all experience will be considered.

Details of Position

Samiad is one of the largest residential summer schools in the UK, with four campuses and over 2000 students excepted from 80 countries.
We were established in 2013 to try and offer more value and a better experience for children attending summer schools, and since then these values have only gotten stronger.

- We have an industry leading staff to student ratio 1:6 on campus and 1:15 in the classroom.
- We offer unique, high value excursions, including our now famous OVERNIGHT excursions to either a medieval castle or a London river cruise Party!
- We cap each language to 20% at one time.

From 29th June start date through to end August

We are looking for vibrant and enthusiastic teaching staff to join our team to provide a wonderful summer for all of our students.

- Teaching a class of international students at our residential summer schools
- Classes split by age and ability with maximum class sizes of 15
- Syllabus and lesson plans and Powerpoints all provided.
- Residential position (full board + accommodation)
- 6 days a week with 1 full day's holiday
- 15 teaching hours per week, split over 4 days
- Planning time built in, with support from our teaching co-ordinator
- Welfare and activity support in addition to teaching responsibilities

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

CELTA, TESOL or TEFL, or PGCE in relevant subjects, BEd, QTS.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Excellent spoken and written native level
English language skills.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Salary and Benefits

English Teachers are scheduled for 18 sessions, which includes preparation time and two
mealtimes daily. Each day is divided into three sessions morning, afternoon, and evening.
Pay starts at £450 - £575 per week, additional of food and accommodation.
