Job Summary

Details of Position

Professional Language Solutions is looking for a Diploma qualified English teacher for a 22 week course from 26 May to 24 October 2025 in our Battersea training centre, London to teach professional learners on an immersion course.

Position to include 20 teaching hours per week (typically 5 hours per day Monday to Thursday from 10:00 - 16:00) as well as the provision of guided self study (1 hour per day Monday to Thursday and 3 hours on Friday). Duties also include leading a weekly 3-hour extra-curricular programme either on Friday or after classes Monday to Thursday.

The programme is to deliver a blend of General English and Professional Communication skills training to professional learners on an immersion programme from Saudi Arabia. Expected group size is circa 5 students; there will be two groups with two teachers rotating teaching responsibilities between the two groups.

Course books and online materials / language learning apps will be provided for the students and the teachers although teachers will be required to supplement the course materials to better meet the needs of the students. It is expected that training will be from CEFR B1 to B1+ levels.

Teachers will be expected to thoroughly plan lessons, set and mark homework / guided self study. Teachers will be required to conduct regular progress testing and write regular reports about the learners progress. Professional Language Solutions is a British Council Accredited and all our teachers will be regularly observed.

Training will take place in our Battersea Training centre, a well equipped facility with well equipped and bespoke class spaces.

Qualifications

Essential:
- Diploma level English Language Teaching Qualification ie. Cambridge DELTA or TrinityDiploma
- 5 years relevant English teaching experience
- Experience of teaching professional adult learners (in UK)

Desirable:
- Experience of teaching in Saudi Arabia / Middle East
- Confident with using IT, including interactive whiteboards, online and app based learning resources
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, professional

Salary and Benefits

£700 per week (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
£50 per week completion bonus (paid at end of course)
