Exciting opportunities at Abbey College in Malvern. We have another huge Summer School, running from mid-June until the end of August and have vacancies for a variety of roles including English Teachers, Activity Leaders, Activity Manager, and Director of Studies.

Experience the breath-taking Malvern Hills, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within which the stunning grounds and buildings of Abbey College are located. Be part of a summer of adventure and fun inspiring individual and groups of children from all over the world.

Qualifications

Abbey College is a British Council affiliated college. Teacher candidates must be Cambridge CELTA/Trinity TESOL qualified (min 6hrs supervised teaching practice & 100 hours input). PGCE or QTS in associated subjects (e.g., English Language, Modern Languages) may be considered. Weekend/Internet/Correspondence TEFL qualifications will not be accepted. Applicants should hold a first degree or equivalent and must be able to speak English to native level. Newly qualified teachers are welcome and will be supported. Candidates should have experience working with teenagers or children. Director of Studies candidates must have a DELTA qualification or British Council approved equivalent.

Salary and Benefits

SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHERS:
6-day week (Maximum 42 hours, 20 max Hours of which is Teaching, the rest is activities / excursions or residential duties).
£550 per week + Holiday entitlement.(£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)
5-Day Week (Maximum 35 hours, 20 max hours of which is Teaching, the rest is activities / excursions or residential duties).
£458 per week + Holiday entitlement.(£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)

ACTIVITY LEADERS:
6-day week (Maximum 42 hours).
A range from £450 per week - £520 per week + Holiday entitlement.(£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)
5-Day Week (Maximum 35 hours).
A range from £375 per week - £435 per week + Holiday entitlement. (£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)

DIRECTOR OF STUDIES:
6-day week (Maximum 42 hours)
£700-800 per week + Holiday entitlement.(£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)
We can also agree a 5-day week contract pro rata.

ACTIVITY MANAGER:
6-day week (Maximum 42 hours)
£600-700 per week + Holiday entitlement.(£15 Bonus/Week after 3 weeks)
