Details of Position
You should have an interest in working with children and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of the summer centre, including social activities and excursions. We are a strong advocate of continuous professional development and employment will include regular developmental workshops and observations. As you will be working with minors, you will be required to provide outstanding pastoral care.
English Study Camps (ESC) is the young learners wing of Wimbledon School of English, the joint number one English language school in the UK (according to industry magazine, the EL Gazette, and British Council inspection results). ESC delivers high-quality, residential summer language courses to students aged 8-17 years old from around the world. In 2025, ESC are running 2 summer camps - one at Lord Wandsworth College, and one in Wimbledon. This posting refers only to Lord Wandsworth, but please get in contact if you are interested in a non-residential position in Wimbledon.
Lord Wandsworth College camp runs from 6th July - 2nd August 2025, however teachers will need to be available from Saturday 5th July if starting in the first week of the course.
The Role
Teachers at English Study Camps take an active role in the life of the school. Candidates should be highly motivated, professional, innovative, and CELTA or CertTESOL qualified. Applicants should have experience in teaching all levels from pre-intermediate to advanced, an interest in working with children and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of the summer centre, including social activities and excursions. We are a strong advocate of continuous professional development and employment will include weekly developmental workshops. As you will be working with minors, you will be required to provide outstanding pastoral care and work in accordance with the ESC policy on Safeguarding Young People & Child Protection.

Salary and Benefits
As this is a residential position, full board and lodgings are provided.
Teacher have maximum of 18 teaching hours per week plus one or two full-day excursions, and help with social activities and pastoral duties.
One 24-hour period off per week.
