Centre of English Studies, Oxford, requires a summer school English teacher for our centre in Oxford

Teachers can expect between 20 and 40 contact hours per week Monday to Friday falling between 8.30am and 6.30pm (at discretion of Director of Studies).

Start date: June 30th 2025. Provisional end date: August 8th, 2025.

As a key member of the Summer Management team, the Director of Studies (DoS) plays a central role in overseeing and managing the Academic Programme, ensuring its seamless operation throughout the summer. The DoS will be responsible for supporting and guiding both students and staff, requiring strong communication, delegation, and organisational skills. Experience working with young people is also essential to succeed in this role.

Perfect for those passionate about sharing their subjects with the next generation. We're looking for subject teachers and tutors for our summer programmes in the UK.

We have sites in Oxford, Cambridge, Windsor, Bournemouth & Kent. The weekly rate received for College Tutors & School Subject Teachers is £725 PLUS Holiday

We're especially keen to hear from candidates with a PGCE and/or experience teaching teenagers.

As Camp Manager, you will be expected to ensure the efficient management and smooth running of the Camp. Through leading and supporting all other centre staff members, the Camp Manager bears overall responsibility for meeting Alpadia's ambition of an enjoyable and developing camp experience.

1-Teach 18 hours per week.
2-Prepare & deliver lessons with clear/achievable aims/objectives/outcomes.
3-Use techniques/materials appropriate to the level/needs of all students.
4-Complete weekly lesson plans before, report lesson contents afterwards.
5-Assess level, monitor progress.
6-Administer & prepare review tests, reports, certificates.
7-Supervise excursions.
8-Supervise residences, implement health/safety policies, offer pastoral care.
9-Manage data, fill class & house registers.
