Simply English is a small, new, friendly academy offering English classes to kids from 4 years old up to adults. We pride ourselves on having a personal touch and incorporating as much speaking and fun in to the classes as possible. We prepare students for Cambridge exams from Starters level to C1. Ayamonte is situated on the border river of Portugal and a short drive from the beaches. The town upholds its traditions strongly and the local fiestas are a great attraction, as is the tapas!

Job Summary

Details of Position

We are looking for a teacher to join our small team, with an immediate start date. The successful teacher will be required to give classes to the following levels; Starters, Movers, A2, B1 and B2. The timetable is 21 hours a week, between Monday and Thursday, with just one Friday afternoon per month. Experience of Cambridge exam preparation preferred. The contract will be temporary until April or June, to be discussed. YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK WITHIN THE EU.

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

Some basic knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage. Experience of working with groups in an academy is preferred but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

Competitive starting salary, depending on experience. If the contract runs until April, Christmas holidays will be paid. If the contract runs until June, Easter holidays will also be paid. Accommodation can be provided, the terms of which can be discussed with the successful applicant.

Job Summary

The teacher will be responsible for giving classes to students of a variety of ages and levels(Starters to B2). Each teacher plans their own classes, and follows the Cambridge courses.We provide course books and many other materials. Students do small tests throughout the trimestre, and end-of-term exams at the end of each trimestre, which the teachers prepare and correct. Working hours would be between 3.30-9.30 Monday to Thursday afternoons, and a couple of hours one Friday per month.
