New Centre Job Opportunity:
Our little family-run school is growing! We're opening a second location on the lovely island of La Gomera. We are looking for an experienced English teacher to take on an exciting role teaching kids of all ages from 3 - 18. Ideally the candidate will be confident to work independently and speak Spanish enough to be friendly with parents and resolve classroom issues while liasing with the main centre.

Hours: 16 - 20 hours per week (as this is a new centre, we are still forming the groups and hours)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM - this may change again depending on the groups formed, but these are the working hours where classes could be scheduled

Start Date: Immediately. Pre-registration was from September to December 2024. Students are ready to start learning.
Students: Ages 3 - 18 years old

Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid work permit for Spain and 2 contactable references that demonstrate positive classroom experience with a variety of ages.

Cambridge CELTA, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge DELTA

Teaching experience: 2 years

Native level English speaker preferred

- be a highly motivated and responsible professional
- be talented at teaching across the age range, from 3 years to 18.
- be able to teach all CEFR levels confidently
- be a native level speaker of English (must be able to prove level C2 certification)
- be CELTA qualified, or equivalent
- be committed to professional development
- have experience in exam preparation
- have the legal right to work and live in Spain (EU citizen or with a Spanish NIE/TIE)
- Please note that we are unable to process visa applications for non-EU citizens

Salary and Benefits

A contract between 16 - 20 hours per week runs from January to June with the opportunity to continue over the summer months in our summer schools or intensive courses. There is also the possibility of extending the contract by mutual consent for another school year and to take on a year long contract rather than a 10 month one.

It is crucial for the teacher to be responsible for all aspects of their teaching space, including tidiness, organization of the classroom, materials etc. Build a positive rapport between both students and parents as well as connecting with the staff at the main centre.
