This proposal is addressed to UK and Irish teachers of English with at least some experience in preparing students for the Trinity College London exams and/or the Cambridge suite of exams. (Other experience will also be taken into consideration, e.g. IELTS/ESB.)
ENGLISH CENTRE, a school of English in Italy (Trinity College London Recognised Full Examination Centre no.2942), is looking for a native-level English teacher. S/he should be able to teach general English at all levels, from beginners (pre-A1) to proficiency (C1/C2). S/he should also be comfortable and competent in teaching the full age range of students - from 5/6 years old to adults of all ages.
As well as preparing students to take the Trinity GESE and ISE exams, s/he should also be able to deliver CLIL lessons in preparation for the Cambridge iGCSE.
The position is in Locri, which is a small warm coastal town not far from Reggio Calabria in Southern Italy. The contract is full-time (25 teaching hours per week) and runs from 7th January 2025 to 7th June 2025; this includes paid holiday time at Easter. The salary offered is very competitive with Southern Italian standards, and gives the possibility to pay also the rent of a flat that could be suggested by E, C. The cost of food for the first week is covered by the school, which also provides all materials and resources for lessons as well as free internet access 24/7 on the school premises.
