To this end, SGC launched a project on a previously acquired site to the North of Phnom Penh whose objective is to provide several thousand Cambodians with future job training and a regular income in the sectors of education, agriculture, tourism, industry, and trade.

Details of Position

Smiling Gecko Village School serves children who lack access to the foundational education they deserve to become fruitful global citizens.
We are seeking a qualified, experienced Music Teacher.
Smiling Gecko serves a provincial community by providing trades training to adults while educating the children with high-quality K-12 instruction that adheres to the Khmer national curriculum and international English standards.
There are currently over 500 students from nursery to G8 and we will increase by 50 students each year. We are seeking teachers who are qualified and have a heart for our targeted demographic.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, etc.
PGCE or state-level teaching license (preferred).
TESOL certification.
Native English speaker or at least B2-C1 CEFR level.
Experience teaching in the indicated disciplines.
Love for children.
Desire to elevate our students' opportunities as global citizens.

Salary and Benefits

Salary:
$20,000 USD tax-free, net pay per annum.
