Job Summary

Details of Position

I organise short language projects in Italy.
The objective of these projects is to offer high-school students valuable speaking opportunities and to activate the language they have studied during English lessons. I also want to offer TEFL teachers a fair wage and a fun break from their regular teaching roles.

So this is your chance to break the routine and come to work at a high school in Italy for a week.

There are a number of projects running concurrently throughout the Veneto and Emilia Romagna regions during the following week:
Calendar Week 36: Monday 2nd - Friday 6th Sept '24
Calendar Week 37: Monday 9th - Friday 13th Sept '24

I am looking for teachers to work as independent contractors this week.
Workday is typically 8am-1pm and composed of 3x 80 minute lessons.
But some project offer additional afternoon hours.
Teachers work in rotation teaching 3 or 4 groups over the course of the week.
Groups are typically composed of 8 - 12 students.

Qualifications

As a qualified super-teacher, I expect you to have a CELTA or equivalent, at least 2 years of teaching experience and a cracking CV. You should also be comfortable working with teenagers, living as a guest in a host family and dealing with unexpected situations.
***This year, since some of the projects are government-funded, I am particularly interested in hiring some Italian Citizens or residents with codice fiscale, Italian photo ID and SPID

Salary and Benefits

500 euros (gross) for each weeks' work + 300 euros total contribution for transport costs, payable via bank transfer upon receipt of invoice.
Additional hours are paid at 25 euros per hour (gross).

Accommodation:
What better way to experience life in Italy than living with a real Italian family? They will feed you, introduce you to the extended family and neighbours and generally overwhelm you with their kindness.
Your host family may live a short walk or even a short bus ride from the school where you will be teaching.

Meals:
Aside from breakfast and home cooked evening meals with the host family, you will be free to lunch, according to your tastes and budget, in a plethora of local eateries.

Transport:
The aforementioned transport contribution should cover your return flights from any European departure point plus train fare between projects. You are free to book your own flights and choose flight days to suit any touristic aspirations.
