Speak is a language immersion company which runs residential language programmes across Italy. Each programme has a different focus and different age ranges but all of our programmes have one thing in common - helping Italian students to improve their communicative skills in English whilst enjoying an unrivalled international summer experience.

The combination of our fantastic camp locations in exclusive use and exceptional camp facilities means we offer a varied, stimulating and unique daily timetable including: English sessions devoted to learning through group and one-to-one communication; summer camp activities such as sports, swimming, arts, excursions; unique camp experiences such as outdoor cinema, orienteering and astronomy.

For summer 2025 we have 3 different programmes available and we are looking for a variety of staff to work as teachers and camp leaders at one, or possibly more than one, of our residential programmes across the summer:


PROGRAMME 1 - ENGLISH SUMMER PROGRAMME (PAVULLO - EMILIA ROMAGNA)

Dates: Friday 13th June 2025 - Friday 27th June 2025 inclusive (this includes 2.5 paid pre-camp training days)

Student age range: 11-13



PROGRAMME 2 - SPEAK TEENS SUMMER CAMP (VALBONELLA - EMILIA ROMAGNA)

Dates: Wednesday 25th June 2025 - Saturday 12th July 2025 inclusive (this includes 2.5 paid pre-camp training days)

Student age range: 10-17



PROGRAMME 3 - SPEAK SUMMER CAMPUS (RIFUGIO SORES - TRENTINO)

Dates: Wednesday 2nd July 2025 - Tuesday 5th August 2025 inclusive (this includes 2.5 paid pre-camp training days)

Student age range: 18-30

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teachers and Camp Leaders will be involved in, and take responsibility for, a variety of aspects of the programme. The main elements of the role include:

o Pastoral care and welfare of students;
o Teaching a class of students;
o Preparation and running of activities - sports, group games and activities, forest walks etc. as well as whole-camp events;
o Transfers - assisting with arrivals and departures of students on transfer days;
o Excursions - taking students off-site for full day excursions.

Our staff must have a real interest in working with teens and young people and, in particular, a strong empathy for working with international students.

Although not all staff are required to teach English language lessons, we do expect all staff to be able to communicate effectively with our students, using an appropriate level of language to suit the group.

The safety and welfare of our students is of paramount importance at all times and this should therefore be the priority of all Speak staff, with particular thought and attention paid to managing students when off-site, including in busy public places.

We are particularly interested in applications from those with an expertise in music, drama, dance, sports or arts & crafts.
