Accademia Britannica Umbra is a medium-sized language school and is the oldest private language school in Perugia (a small historic city halfway between Rome and Florence). The school offers courses for young learners, teenagers and adults (general English and exam prep) and also in state schools, businesses and public organisations. The school is also an authorised exam centre for Cambridge Assessment English, in addition to being a member of AISLI (Association of quality language schools)

Job Overview / Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that students receive well-planned, well taught, high-quality English lessons appropriately aimed at their level and suited to meet their needs
- Teach state school courses to students and teachers
- Plan course content based on school syllabi
- Communicate with DoS on a regular basis regarding lesson planning/ course development/techniques for exam preparation courses/different didactic approaches/ strategies for dealing with different challenges in the classroom etc.
- Communicate any student/class problems immediately (i.e. level unsuitability, personality clashes, age discrepancies, etc) with management and DoS
- Maintain up-to-date and legible records of work and student progress (registers, skills evaluation forms, progress reports, etc)
- Regularly set and mark student homework.
- Contribute actively to the ethos of the school by supporting colleagues and accepting support when needed.
- Embody the vision of the school as a learning organisation by contributing whenever possible to any initiatives aimed at improving the quality of the services we offer our clients.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive contract (CCNL) which pays around 1100 euros for 20 teaching hours per week. There are also paid holidays, paid travelling time and severance pay at the end of the contract.

Job Summary

You will be teaching both internal school courses (afternoon and evening), as well as state school courses to students or teachers (morning or afternoon). Our school works from Monday to Friday and courses finish by 8pm.
