Job Summary

Details of Position

You will be teaching a variety of ages and levels. Maximum class size: 8. Also some interesting individual lessons. Most students come twice a week for one hour and a half lessons. Students will have the latest EFL course books. The course books are the skeleton, we expect teachers to put flesh on the skeleton and make the lessons interesting, personal and productive. Teachers receive lots of support and really do develop their teaching skills in a very nice working environment. Possibility to train up as a Cambridge English Speaking Examiner.

Qualifications

What kind of teacher/person are we looking for? A person who loves teaching, loves the English language, and is able to establish a good rapport with students and fellow members of staff. Hard-working, yes. Professional, yes. Friendly, open-minded, and fun, definitely.
A degree and Celta are requisites. Experienced teachers are preferable though we would consider people fresh from a Celta course so long as they have the right personal requisites and are eager to learn.

Salary and Benefits

Teachers are paid 1,200 Euros net for a maximum of 100 hours per calendar month. Anything over 100 hours is paid overtime.
Xmas, Easter and Bank Holidays all paid.
Accommodation to be paid by the teacher (average cost: 350 euros per month plus bills)
Contract from October 2024 to the beginning of June 2025.

The vast majority of courses are in-house with a maximum class size of 8 students. We cater for kids, teenagers and adults and teachers are given a good range of levels and ages. We prepare students for the whole range of Cambridge exams, from Young Learners Starters to Proficiency, including IELTS.
