We are seeking to recruit a Senior Teacher whose skills, experience and personal attributes will equip them for this exciting opportunity.

Located in beautiful parkland, just 30 minutes from Central London, Mill Hills Short Courses provide the perfect setting for learning and enjoyment. Our courses are aimed at both students who will be joining British Boarding Schools and at those who wish to sample a British education.

We offer courses to students aged 12-17, combining English learning with Mathematics and Science or Sport. These core elements are complemented by a varied programme of creative activity classes including Music, Dance, Drama and Art. Although the focus of our courses is on academic progress, the varied social programme and exciting range of sports and activities, as well as two full-day excursions per week, ensures that students find their time at Mill Hill both stimulating and rewarding.

The Senior Teacher will be responsible for the effective running of the academic side of the Summer School programme, managing a team of approximately 10 EFL teachers, including carrying out observations and providing feedback, as well as providing academic advice and weekly INSET sessions.

The EFL teachers in the Senior Teachers team teach two 90-minutes classes per day for five days per week, for a total of 15 teaching hours per week, with afternoons free for planning and academic admin. Additionally, all staff supervise and accompany students on one full-day excursion per week.

The dates for our Summer School this year are 1st July through to 26 August 2024, with contracts available for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks. Candidates with availability for the full 8 weeks are strongly preferred for this role.
